Jennifer & David may have had the perfect day but it didn’t start out that way. Perfect Plans are always made to be broken. Saturday at 3:40am we lost power at the farm due to a severe storm that had gone through the area. A long night turned into a chaotic morning…no power and 150 guests set to arrive at 2pm. Fire up the generators…the show will go on!
Friends and family came out to help to make sure we were ready and as a drizzly morning turned into a magnificent afternoon the power also cooperated and came back on at 1:15. And the show went on without any more hiccups and without most guests even knowing the power had been out!
Bridesmaids in beautiful teal dresses were stunning standouts against the sunny backdrop of summer hillsides and highlighted by bright bouquets. A dapper groom and groomsmen framed the perfect picture as guests enjoyed a sweet ceremony. TP’s Café in Stamford treated guests to delectable appetizers and a bountiful buffet complete with the brides’ family farm raised beef and pork. Favors were also a family affair, mini bottles of Brookside Maple Syrup lined the tables monogramed with the wedding date.
DJ Pat Del Rosario kept things crisp and classy all night getting the groove going. Guests mingled inside and out with the sunshine and then the stars. Just a “few” people found the custom photo booth and their silly side. Cupcakes by Sweet Endings Desserts towered in the dessert bar with a petite cutting cake as the topper. Staying late to catch a glimpse of a sky lantern launch and special moments Larry and his wife Val of Larry Leffert Photography captured the event beautifully. They didn’t miss a photo op from the covered bridge, to the wagon, to the evening sky and even a wedding eve horseback ride.

Special Thanks to Tim McIntosh, Ed Rosa, Mike Simonds, Marge and Bill Trelease & RD! Help comes in all kinds of ways we have no doubt. June 13, 2015, a date to remember.
Congratulations and Aloha Jennifer and David!!!
